London

Because I was inspired by Hayden Harnett’s contest and a dear friend of mine Jen, I decided to go through my old hard drive and dig up photos from when I was fortunate enough to visit London in 2009. I also wanted to thank Kezia for the kind words she told me. No one has ever told me I was talented when it came to taking photos but because of her, not only am I in a fantastic mood, I am motivated to go out & take more! Thanks Kezia, you’ve proved that a gal can have good friends through Twitter as well! ;)

My online shopping horror story

My first & I hope my LAST. Let me start off with stating I knew about the Dolce Vita Eve’s before they were even OUT in any store/online boutique and boy, was I excited! For numerous reasons, of course.. One being I FINALLY found a pair of boots that I would actually like. It’s such a bitch to find a good pair of boots these days. Anyhow, when they came out and I was notified via e-mail, I did not, unfortunately, have the money for them. & that’s so rare! (This is another reason why I feel it was just not meant to be) I watched as MY boots went in & out of stock, constantly re-signing up for when my size is available. The day I was able to purchase these boots was the day there was only a size 8 available. Every girl knows a half size larger is needed in boots! But I decided to try them anyhow hoping for the best. Was I wrong! I TRIED to make them wrong, attempted to make myself believe they fit, however, they did not. & I thank God for having a fiance that will actually tell me the truth even if he knows there’s consequences when he tells me things a girl never wants to hear. “That doesn’t fit.” With regret, I sent them back searching Froogle for my size. I found the right size on Ebay (of all places) and was a bit skeptical about it too. I decided to bid on the boots rather than buy it to see if I could get a cheaper price (y’know, since Spring is right around the corner n all.) At the last minute, some dream-ruiner outbid me! After a bid war, I lost due to a slow computer/connection and yes, it was not my fingers’ fault! I can’t express how disappointed I 1) let my new favourite boots slip from my fingers (literally) and 2) the final price was the cost of the boots at the “Buy it” price! After another week of searching, I came across a website I’ve never heard of but since I’ve already been taking all kinds of risks over these boots, why the hell not? I purchased them at full price & was still bittersweet that the boots on Ebay were less expensive. When I thought this whole mess was over, I get an e-mail from the seller on Ebay providing me with a “second chance offer” since for whatever reason the broad who outbid me did not go through with the transaction. Before placing the order, I canceled my prior order. When I FINALLY received the boots from Ebay after it went through a “snow storm,” not only were they worn, there was a nail sticking out at the foot of the bed! Disgusted, I arranged a return with the seller. At this point, I must have been seeing things because I stumbled across the boots on another website for a half of the price and in my size! Let’s just say I really was seeing things because when I received the order, I realized that the boots I ordered were another style of Dolce Vita and not the Eve. Later that evening after dropping my return off at the post office, I found myself re-ordering the boots for full price on the website I canceled them from.. I got the boots today and they appear to be worn & I am not happy. & if anyone knows me, they know worn shoes/boots do not go unnoticed! After staring at them for quite some time & debating on if I should try again and request an exchange, I have accepted the fact that it was not meant to be. It is now two weeks until Spring & I have spent two months on credit card using, wasting money on return shipping, and keeping my hopes up. That being said, I have learned my lesson. I hope next Winter never comes.

Thanks for the photo, Free People. I would have purchased the boots from if you had my size.

Baby new love

Of course she loves love, but I think she’s not too fond of photos anymore – I guess that happens after a certain age? Oh well, she’s still adorb.

Happy Birthday Baby Nanz!!

& she knew it this year! Nanz sure did have loads of fun for her birthday week & took advantage of it. From pooping all over the house to eating what she wanted. I even made her a home-made birthday hat! On her birthday evening, she even manage to break her whole nail off which led to bleeding. Let’s just say she is not happy about wearing a bandage around her paw when she could be licking away it her wound.

Lazy Tuesdays?

& in desperate need for a haircut…

New obsession

I went to Ulta today to splurge on new nail polish, but unfortunately, they did not have all the colours I fancy. Luckily, I was able to find all of them online at Amazon. Either way, I have a new goal to own every colour of OPI nail lacquer. My girl friends will love me!

UPDATE: I have a little under 18 colours now, I’ve already begun to lose track. My attention span is lacking.

the lovah and i..

& of course Baby New. x

because it rained today..

For more than 10 minutes..

& I loved every moment of it. Even walking a mile to my car without an umbrella. If it rained more here, I’d invest in one.. or a newspaper.

I know it’s a new year

& I should be looking forward to the future, but tonight, I needed to reflect on the past. Since most of my best friends are out of state, I’ve become lonely. If it weren’t for J, I’d go insane!

The last photo is my sister & I on New Year’s Eve. With that said, I’m finally ready to move onto the new year, even tho I’m 18 days late. x
